Description
A one-of-one portrait made using the old photographic process of cyanotype. Artist Riley Wolfe of Synova Studios turns your favorite photo into a 6 × 8" sun print, developed by hand using sunlight and water, then stained for a warm finish.
Each portrait can be made simply with your pet or framed with a handful of optional elements chosen to suit them. Multiple pets are welcome, too.
How it works
Choose your preferred style and upload a clear, high-resolution photo of your pet when ordering. Riley will create the design, print it by hand in the sun, stain it, and ship the finished piece directly to you.
Because the portrait is created directly from your photograph, a clear image makes all the difference. Avoid blurry, pixelated, very dark, or heavily filtered photos. If you're unsure whether yours will work, send it our way, and we're happy to take a look.
The details
If you choose to add decorative elements, Riley will typically use 3–5, selecting the combination that best frames your pet. Have something particular in mind? Leave a note with your order and she'll do her best to incorporate it.
For multiple pets, simply upload a photo that includes everyone you'd like in the portrait and include each of their names.

Every portrait is handmade by Riley Wolfe of Synova Studios using sunlight and water. Variations in color, texture, borders, and finish are part of the process and mean no two prints will ever be exactly alike.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY
- Made just for you: your portrait ships within 7 to 10 business days of your order. Cyanotypes are developed by sunlight, so occasionally the weather adds a few days. We'll let you know if anything changes.
- Delivery: once shipped, most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days in the US. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it's on its way.
- Packaging: each print is packed flat and sealed to protect it from bending and moisture.
- Shipping cost: free! We currently ship to US addresses only.
- Photo check: our artist reviews every photo before starting. If yours can't produce a clear print, we'll email you once to ask for another, and your 2 to 3 weeks restarts when we receive it. Questions about your photo? Reach out before ordering at hello@shopgoodgriff.com.
- Lost or damaged in transit: contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and we'll make it right.

What kind of photo works best?
Clear, high-resolution photos are best. Because the portrait is created directly from your photograph, a clear image makes all the difference. Avoid blurry, pixelated, very dark, or heavily filtered photos. If you're unsure whether yours will work, send it our way (hello@shopgoodgriff.com), and we're happy to take a look.
There's a background on my photo. Is that okay?
Yes! Riley will remove the background before printing your photo.
When will I get my order?
Current production lead time is 7-10 business days.
Can I give one as a gift?
Absolutely! Just choose the recipients name and address at checkout to ship to them directly, or ship it to yourself to gift later.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on all cyanotype portraits.
How big is the print, and should I frame it?
Prints are 6" x 8". These prints look beautiful when framed, or displayed in other ways. We particularly love propping these up with vintage flower frogs.
Can I get multiple pets in one print?
Yes, but both pets must be in the same photo. If you have two separate photos of your pets, you should order two separate prints!
How much does it cost?
Prints are $55 each, with free shipping. If you have multiple pets, you can save by printing both in one (as long as both pets are in the same photo).
